According to FRWO's website Quoted from AtiehOnline, Dr. Massoud Mansour, Deputy Minister and Head of FRWO at the launching ceremony of the Natural Resource Early Warning and Hazard Monitoring Center chaired by Massoud Mansour, held in the presence of General Jalali, Head of Iran's Passive Defense Organization on Wednesday at FRWO Headquarters, described climate change as one of the sources of an underlying threat to the country, referring to the many changes that the country's natural resources are undergoing.
He noted: "Fires, pests and diseases are also the dangers of climate change, which are exacerbated by this phenomenon."
Mansour stated: "The country is in a serious crisis of wind and soil erosion, and unfortunately, wind erosion is caused in more than 15.4 tons per hectare of the country lands annually."
He noted: "This rich soil - the protection of which was emphasized by the Supreme Leader as he said that soil is more important than water- is going to be unavailable year by year, and sometimes in the form of floods, destroys lands and infrastructure and fills reservoirs."
